Multi Style Seminar - August 2009
On Sunday the 23rd of August 2009 at the full time centre in Leeds students of Karate International were treated to a mini seminar with Sensei Peter Clarke 6th Dan Jiu Jitsu, Sensei Jim McLelland 5th Dan Kick Boxing and Sensei Steve Leak 5th Dan Karate-Do.
The 1st Session was delivered by Sensei Clarke covering groundwork, locks, holds and takedowns. All the students got down to work and really enjoyed themselves.
Later Sensei Leak put the students through basic karate technique and syllabus work. During the basics session the students were assessed for their technique badges. Students gained badges for kicking, punching and kata work.
Sensei McLelland took sessions on advanced kicking and self defence. The students where getting very tired by this stage as they had been going for four hours.
